This Thai restaurant in Astoria boasts a chef who is a graduate of the esteemed Culinary Institute of America and, not only knows how to cook in the tradition of classic French cuisine, but also is a master ice carver, fruit and vegetable carver and pastry chef as well. If that was not enough for one restaurant, add to the mix his very talented wife who is also a great cook and for whom the restaurant is named. Ben and Chai…as they are lovingly called make a great team when it comes to Thai food.
Menu items are marked with red dots to indicate the level of spiciness. One red dot for mild spicy, two dots for medium spicy, three dots for spicy and four dots for THAI SPICY…bring on the water for the four dot dishes. If there is no red dot next to the item you are safe to assume it is without the spice.
Lunch specials are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and consist of soup of the day, rice and entrée.
