Located on Austin Street off Lefferts Boulevard, near the Long Island Railroad’s Kew Gardens station, is the Austins Steak & Ale House. Enter the front door going either left or right will depend on what your pleasures are. On the right side is the dining room, and on the left is the bar area with a lounge featuring an OTB parlor with over forty-one screens and a betting window. Here you can wager on thoroughbred and harness racing. If you want something to eat as you watch the races, a full menu is served at the bar or there is a dining room equipped with more TV’s so you won’t miss a thing. Sports fans can watch the sporting events from the big screen TV. If you are stepping off the train within just a few steps there is an outdoor dining area or you may also enter the restaurant from a back door. The dining room has white tablecloths, soft lighting and pleasant atmosphere where you could easily imagine yourself in a railroad dining car traveling to a fun vacation somewhere.
