Dish du Jour Magazine's mission is to provide individuals with:

* Profiles of the best restaurants and food shops in Queens.
* Interviews with hi-profile chefs and people of interest in the food and wine industry.
* Articles about  the local cuisine and the people that create it.
* Helpful cooking techniques and recipes from chefs and restaurants.
* Informative articles on wines and spirits.

Dish du Jour Magazine's "Cuisine of Queens & Beyond" was the first food and wine tasting event in the borough of Queens featuring the best restaurants, wine and beer companies, and gourmets shops from Queens and surrounding areas.  This event brought  much deserved attention to the food industry in Queens and recognition to the many talented chefs and food professionals in the borough. 

Dish du Jour Magazine is the creator of the "Burger Battle of the Boroughs" where seven of the boroughs top burger places competed for the title.

Dish du Jour Magazine also created the first meatball contest  where restaurants from the five boroughs entered to compete for the title - "The Best Meatball of the Boroughs"
